You built your product in days. Setting up your business takes months.

The building part got fast. The company around it did not. That gap is where founders lose the time they saved.

Shipping is the fast part now. A founder with an idea on Friday can have something real by Sunday. That genuinely changed.

What did not change is everything that has to exist around the product before it becomes a business.

Choosing a CRM. Working out how contracts get sent and who signs them. Setting up invoicing. Chasing the first payment. Filing the numbers somewhere you can find them again. Hiring the first person and realising you need a contract for that too. Keeping all of it in sync while you are also still building.

None of it is hard. That is the frustrating bit. It is fragmented. Every obligation the business grows comes with a tool to research, a subscription to buy, a setup to complete and a second place where your data now lives. Each one takes an afternoon. There are forty of them.

So the weekend you saved on building gets handed straight back over the following four months, an hour at a time, to admin.

The fix is not another tool

Adding a seventh subscription to solve the problem created by six subscriptions does not work. The cost is not the licence fee, it is the setup, the switching and the reconciliation.

Base collapses the commercial layer into one place. CRM, contracts, invoicing, finance and hiring run from one command bar, on top of the tools you already use. You say what you want done. It gets done, you approve it, and the company brain remembers it for next time.

You built the product in days. The rest of it should not take months.
